A very intense week in London is starting with the award ceremony at the Natural History Museum in London.
Each year the competition finds the very best wildlife images taken by the world’s top professional and amateur photographers. This year the contest received more than 43,000 entries from 94 countries. Roughly 100 images were awarded and I’m extremely honored to be part of this small group!

Dinner with the dinosaurs….

Dear Daisy,
Now more congratulations are due to you! Today at London’s Natural History Museum Museum we saw this year’s exhibition of Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2009. What a delight it was to see your beautiful “Fairy Companion” image of a tern, taken on Midway.
Really lovely. As it is one of those reproduced as a postcard, I was able to buy several, which I will send as Christmas cards to my friends.
All the best,
Elisabeth.
